Terms & Conditions

By registering for, purchasing, or attending the Mont Zen Essence Event (hereafter referred to as the "Retreat"), you (the "Participant") agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Payment

  • Registration: Your spot in the Retreat is only confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or the agreed-upon initial deposit, if applicable) and a completed registration form.
  • Currency & Fees: All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). The Participant is responsible for any bank fees, transaction charges, or currency conversion fees incurred during payment.

2. Strict No-Refund Policy

Due to the intricate planning, venue booking, and limited capacity of our retreats, Mont Zen Essence enforces a strictly non-refundable cancellation policy.

  • Participant Cancellation: All payments made toward the Retreat are 100% non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to, cancellations made due to personal emergencies, illness, travel delays, weather issues, or a change of mind.
  • No Shows & Early Departures: No refunds, credits, or partial refunds will be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows.
  • Transferability: You may transfer your registration to another eligible person up to 7 days before the Retreat start date, subject to a ₹100 administrative fee and approval by Mont Zen Essence.

3. Cancellation or Modification by Mont Zen Essence

  • Organizer Cancellation: Mont Zen Essence reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, low enrollment, or Force Majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions).
  • Refunds in Organizer Cancellation: If Mont Zen Essence cancels the Retreat entirely, Participants will receive a full refund of the Retreat fee paid. Mont Zen Essence is not responsible for any external costs incurred by the Participant (e.g., non-refundable flights, travel gear, or independent accommodation).
  • Schedule Changes: We reserve the right to modify the retreat schedule, instructors, or specific venue amenities at any time without prior notice. Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.

4. Health, Medical, and Wellness Disclaimer

  • Physical and Mental Readiness: Meditation and retreat activities can sometimes be physically and mentally demanding. By attending, you confirm that you are in good physical and mental health.
  • Not Medical Treatment: The Retreat, including all teachings and practices, is for educational and spiritual purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
  • Disclosure: Participants must disclose any significant physical or mental health conditions during registration. Mont Zen Essence reserves the right to decline registration if we believe our environment cannot adequately support your needs.

5. Participant Conduct

To maintain the peaceful and focused environment of the Retreat, all Participants must adhere to our Code of Conduct:

  • Respect and Silence: Participants must respect the property, the staff, fellow attendees, and any periods of mandatory silence ("Noble Silence") outlined in the schedule.
  • Substance Policy: The possession or consumption of alcohol, illegal drugs, or unauthorized mind-altering substances is strictly prohibited on the Retreat premises.
  • Right of Dismissal: Mont Zen Essence reserves the right to dismiss any Participant whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, or breaches these Terms and Conditions. No refund will be provided to any Participant dismissed under these circumstances.

6. Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

  • Assumption of Risk: The Participant acknowledges that attending the Retreat involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or property loss. The Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks.
  • Release of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Participant releases, waives, and discharges Mont Zen Essence, its owners, instructors, employees, and venue partners from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury sustained during the Retreat.

7. Media and Privacy

  • Photography/Videography: Mont Zen Essence may take photographs or video recordings during the Retreat for promotional or educational purposes. By attending, you grant Mont Zen Essence the right to use your likeness in these materials. (If you wish to opt-out, you must notify the organizers in writing prior to the Retreat).
  • Data Protection: Your personal information will be kept confidential and used solely for the administration of the Retreat and future communications from Mont Zen Essence.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karnataka, India.
